Polidea ships an official Nokaut.pl for iPhone and Windows Mobile

Nokaut.pl launches innovative application for its popular price comparison service

Polidea announced today an immediate availability of native iPhone application for Nokaut.pl, one of the most popular Polish price comparison services. The mobile application have been designed with speed and usage simplicity in mind. “Creating a mobile application for price savvy shoppers is much more than just wrapping a service website in a different graphic layout. The application needs to provide information as fast as possible, at the point of sale, if it is to be more useful than a website open in a mobile browser” said Jakub Lipiński, Polidea CEO. “Our Nokaut application uses variety of technologies and user interface optimizations to speed the price lookup process. Just to name a few – a customer can directly scan product barcode with phone’s camera, while the GPS takes care of estimating his location so that he can get instant information about nearby shops where this products can be purchased more cheaply. Nokaut.pl is the most popular product and service comparison and rating site in Poland, cooperating with over 3400 points of sale. The company has selected Polidea to develop applications initially for the iPhone and Windows Mobile 6.5 devices, the latter version being now in final stages of testing and will be released soon, while the iPhone version is available now from Apple App Store. Further development of versions for other popular mobile platforms is also currently considered.
